This Privacy Policy describes how chatarea (package name com.suriya.flutter_chatarea), developed by Suriya, collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider to create and manage your account.
• Chat messages: Messages you send are stored in our cloud database (Firebase Cloud Firestore) so they can be delivered and synced across your devices.
• Push notification token: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver chat notifications, which requires a device-specific registration token.
• Basic diagnostics: Standard Firebase app diagnostics (e.g. crash and stability data) may be collected to help us fix bugs.

We do not collect GPS/location data, and the app does not access your camera or photo library.

2. Microphone Permission

The app requests microphone permission for an in-development voice feature. This feature is not currently active: no audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted by the app at this time. If a voice feature is enabled in a future update, this policy will be updated accordingly before release.

3. Third-Party Services

chatarea uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config
• Google Sign-In — optional login method
• Facebook Login (Meta) — optional login method. The Facebook SDK may request the Android Advertising ID as required for SDK compatibility; we do not use this identifier for advertising of our own.

4. Local Data on Your Device

Some data (such as cached chat history and app preferences) is stored locally on your device using SQLite and encrypted secure storage. This local data is removed when you uninstall the App.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information above solely to operate core chat functionality: authenticating you, delivering and syncing messages, sending notifications, and maintaining app stability. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data Retention

Account and message data is retained while your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us below.

7. Notifications

You can disable push notifications at any time in your device's system settings.

8. Children's Privacy

chatarea is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below.
